CarbonScope (accessible at carbonscope.world) is a carbon compliance intelligence platform operated by Studio JC. We help professionals in the events, film & TV, and education industries understand and manage their carbon compliance obligations under applicable regulations worldwide.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to CarbonScope / Studio JC. "You" refers to any individual who accesses or uses our platform.
We collect information in the following ways:
When you join our waitlist or create an account, we collect your name, email address, organisation, role, industry, and primary compliance market. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is processed by Stripe and we do not store card details.
When you use the Risk Calculator, we process your inputs (event type, attendee numbers, venue size, travel data, etc.) to generate your compliance risk score. This data is processed in your browser session and is not stored on our servers unless you are a registered user who has explicitly saved a report.
We collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, features used, session duration) to improve the platform. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes.
Calculator session data that is not saved to an account is not retained beyond your browser session.

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics data is collected in an anonymised, aggregated form only.
